Jaison Mathew

Jaison Mathew serves as a Law Clerk at Gagnier Margossian, with interests in intellectual property and contract law, pursuing his JD at the University of San Francisco.

As an undergraduate at Santa Clara University, Mathew focused on the implications of  the dwindling Supreme Court docket and viable policy solutions to homelessness in San Francisco.  Mathew researched at Santa Clara University for Professor Jim Cottrill, working on the statistical relationship between promises made on the campaign trail and promises kept during the term in office for various politicians. As a campus leader, Mathew served as the President of the Political Science Student Association and the South Asian Organization.

Mathew recharged his political batteries when he spent a semester “abroad” in Washington, D.C. during the 2008 Presidential Election, where he volunteered with Barack Obama’s campaign. Mathew has been actively engaged in politics since.

Mathew was awarded the Pro Bono Publico Award at USF. Mathew was a part of Deans Scholars and earned the Office of Multicultural Learning’s Pan Asian Leadership Award during his undergraduate career.

Mathew holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Political Science from Santa Clara University and is currently working on a J.D. from the University of San Francisco.
